What is this medicine?
DUPILUMAB (doo PIL ue mab) is an injection used to treat certain patients with eczema, asthma, and sinus inflammation with nasal polyps.
How should I use this medicine?
This medicine is for injection under the skin. You will be taught how to prepare and give this medicine. Use exactly as directed. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take your medicine more often than directed.
It is important that you put your used needles and syringes in a special sharps container. Do not put them in a trash can. If you do not have a sharps container, call your pharmacist or healthcare provider to get one.
Talk to your pediatrician regarding the use of this medicine in children. While this medicine may be prescribed for children as young as 6 years for selected conditions, precautions do apply.
What side effects may I notice from receiving this medicine?
Side effects that you should report to your doctor or health care professional as soon as possible:
allergic reactions like skin rash, itching or hives, swelling of the face, lips, or tongue
changes in vision
eye pain or swelling

What may interact with this medicine?
What if I miss a dose?
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you can if it is within 7 days from the missed dose. If it is more than 7 days from your last dose and you are on an every other week dosing schedule, skip the dose and wait to take the next dose on the original schedule. If it is more than 7 days from your last dose and you are on an every 4-week dosing schedule, take a dose as soon as possible and start a new schedule based on this date. Do not take double or extra doses.
Where should I keep my medicine?
Keep out of the reach of children.
Store this medicine in the refrigerator between 2 and 8 degrees C (36 and 46 degrees F) until you are ready to prepare your injection; do not freeze. You may also store at room temperature for up to 14 days if needed. Do not store above 25 degrees C (77 degrees F) or expose to heat. Throw away any unused medicine after the expiration date.
What should I tell my health care provider before I take this medicine?
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
parasitic (helminth) infection
an unusual or allergic reaction to dupilumab, other medicines, foods, dyes, or preservatives
pregnant or trying to get pregnant
What should I watch for while using this medicine?
Tell your doctor or healthcare professional if your symptoms do not start to get better or if they get worse.
You should not receive certain vaccines while using this medicine. Dupilumab may prevent a vaccine from working. Talk to your health care provider if you need to receive a vaccine while using this medicine.
